Performing arts training intensive for ages 12-24. Established in 1990, the Asante Children’s Theater Academy program has impacted thousands of young lives, seeding the ground for the establishment and growth of the Asante Art Institute. Over the past 3 years, the program has been on hiatus. Originally brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the pause provided opportunity for in-depth research, evaluation and an increased level of engagement with the artists and community members we serve. As a result, we are excited to announce the relaunch, set next year during Asante’s 35th anniversary season. Young artists seeking high-level character development and training in theater are encouraged to audition. Fees do apply.
