All donors will have the opportunity to receive monthly e-updates so you can learn about the impact of your gift. You will read heartfelt testimonies from program participants and their parents. You will read about volunteer opportunities and our community outreach efforts. As donors you will also be invited to our annual fundraiser, The Legacy Cabaret. The dictionary defines success as the achievement of desired aim; the achievement of something planned or attempted. Asante Children’s Theatre (ACT) has the unique ability to unearth talent that lies buried within young people. ACT provides a caring environment, structure and direction to youth who may not realize their potential. Established in 1990, this environment has fostered the confidence the youth needs to venture into the unknown and achieve their desired dreams. The Asante Children’s Theatre has nurtured over 12,000 youth participants in its various performing arts initiatives.
For us to continue to share this work with future generations, it’s important that we receive support from our community. There are many ways to support ACT. You can volunteer, donate office supplies, art supplies, office furniture or give to our tuition assistance program. More than 50% of our participants struggle with paying tuition. We feel the program is so valuable to a child’s life that we continue to work with youth even if they cannot afford to pay. It is the dream of Deborah Asante to offer ACT FREE for everyone. The only way we can obtain that goal is by your support. Join us in the effort of changing lives.
